Custom fields can be created in Avarni when the fields in your uploaded file does not match any existing Avarni fields.

Some examples of custom fields are: Regions, procurement codes, supplier codes.

Create a custom field

To create custom fields in the spreadsheet to be imported, you will need to add a new column with the name of the custom field. You may add as many as you wish.

To create custom fields, follow these steps:

1. Go to Settings on the bottom left.

2. Click Custom Field.

3. Click on Add Custom Field:

4. Enter the Name for your custom field.

5. Select if the field should be active or inactive.

6. Click Create.


Add a custom field to your import

To add a custom field to your import, you will need to click on the + (see below highlighted in yellow), and select the applicable template field.

  • Highlighted in yellow: This is the field that is in the file you have imported. Once you have selected +, it will be moved to ‘Columns in your file’.

  • Template Fields: This is an Avarni field (if you have created a Custom Field - refer to above steps, you will see this field available in this drop down).


Delete a custom field

To delete a custom field, follow the below steps:

1. Click on against the applicable Custom Field Name.

2. Select Delete and then type in the name of the custom field to confirm:

3. Click Delete.


Edit a custom field

To edit a custom field, follow the below steps:

1. Click on against the applicable Custom Field Name.

2. Select Rename and then type in the name you would like to update:

3. Select the tick box to update the name:
