Welcome to the Avarni Factor Explorer user guide! This feature allows you to search for an address, city, or region and view applicable emission factors. Follow the steps below to efficiently use the Factor Explorer.

Step 1: Accessing Factor Explorer

  1. Navigate to Factor Explorer: From the Avarni dashboard, go to the left-hand sidebar and select Factor Explorer under Data Management.

Step 2: Searching for an Address, City, or Region

  1. Enter Your Search: In the search bar at the top left of the Factor Explorer, type in the address, city, or region you are interested in. The search is intuitive and will provide suggestions as you type.

Step 3: Selecting a Region

  1. Populate the Region Dropdown: After entering your search term, the Region dropdown menu will automatically populate with all the regions that the entered address falls within.

  2. Select a Region: Click on the dropdown menu and select the region relevant to your search. This action will prompt the sidebar to open, displaying all the emission factors that apply to the selected region.

Step 4: Viewing Emission Factors

  1. Emission Factors Sidebar: Once you have selected a region, the sidebar on the right will open, listing all the emission factors applicable to that region. This includes detailed information such as the name of the factor, source, and relevant data.

Additional Tools and Tips:

  1. Grouping Factors: Click the three dots adjacent a column heading to access the options menu for that column. From here, select "Group By ..." to group the factors by that field.

    1. For example, grouping by Source will group all factors that are from the same factor source together.
