Avarni currently has several emission factor sources within our platform. Refer to this link for further information on existing emission factor sources that exists in the platform.
If you wish to upload custom emission factors, you can do so by navigating to the emissions hub settings. If you would like to upload multiple emission factors, please refer to Avarniโs Emission Factor Template Document.

View emission factor sources
To view existing emission factor sources, follow the below steps:
1. Navigate to Settings on the bottom left and click on Emission Factor Sources:

2. Click on the Source Name to open the folder:
3. You will now be able to find information such as Emission Factor Name, Category, Scope, Description, Input Unit, Region, Year, CO2e Factor, CO2 Factor, CH4 Factor and N2O Factor.
๐ Note: 'Region' can either be a Country or a Region. For example: Australia, OR Victoria, AU. For the full list of Regions available, refer to the 'Regions' tab in the Emission Factor Template Document.
๐ Note: If you would like to use the Emission Factors for multiple categories (such as for Purchased Goods and Services and Capital Goods), do not enter a value under Categories and/or Scope.
Upload multiple factors
To upload emission factor sources, follow the below steps:
1. Navigate to Settings on the bottom left and click on Emission Factor Sources:
2. Click Upload Factors:
3. Select Existing or New.
If you are uploading more factors to an existing custom factor source:
1. Select from the dropdown list and then click Next:
2. Upload the data using Avarniโs Emission Factor Template or manually enter your data:
๐ Note: Factors entered must have an output unit of kilograms of each gas per unit entered, not tonnes.
๐ Note: 'Region' can either be a Country or a Region. For example: Australia, OR Victoria, AU. For the full list of Regions available, refer to the 'Regions' tab in the Emission Factor Template Document.

3. Click Continue:
4. You will be asked if you are ready to submit. Select Yes.
5. Your emission factor has been added.
If you are uploading a new emission factor source:
1. Type in the Source Name and Link.
2. Click Next:
3. Upload the data or manually enter your data.
