Your assurer will pick rows at random and ask you to show where each number came from. This article covers what Avarni holds and how to find it.
Tracing a number to its source
Every row created from a bill keeps a link to that bill.
Go to Emissions Hub.
Open the actions menu on the row.
Select View Document.
The bill opens with the extracted values beside it, so your assurer can see the figure on the invoice and the figure in the platform together.
Rows from a spreadsheet show the file name and sheet instead. Select the information icon on the File name cell to see them.
Getting evidence into Avarni
Evidence arrives with the data. Upload a bill as a PDF or an image and it becomes both the data and the evidence.
You cannot attach a document to a row that already exists. If you have supporting material for a manual entry, keep it in your shared folder and reference it in your Basis of Preparation.
What is recorded when someone changes a row
Open the actions menu on the row.
Select Logs.
The log shows who changed the row, which field, the value it was set to, when, and the type of change.
It shows the value after the change. It does not show the value before, so a log entry tells you what a field became, not what it was.
Anyone who can read your data can read the log.
What your assurer will ask for
Three things, in this order:
A sample traced to source. They pick rows, you open the document behind each.
Evidence for estimates. Anything not traceable to a document needs its method recorded. See Estimate what you cannot measure.
A record of changes. Where a figure was adjusted, who did it and why.
The third is where the justification field earns its place. A classification rule and a manual override both carry one. Use it.
Give your assurer access
Invite them as a Viewer so they can trace rows themselves rather than working from exports. See Getting into Avarni: logins, SSO and access.
