One of your customers has asked you for emissions data through Avarni. This page explains what they need and how to provide it.
What you have been asked for
Your customer is calculating their own carbon footprint. Part of that footprint comes from what they buy from you.
They need either the quantity of something you supplied, or an emissions figure you have already calculated.
You do not need to have done carbon accounting before.

Select Complete Survey in the email. The link works without an account and without a password.

Answering
Quantity questions ask for a number and a unit, such as litres of diesel or kilowatt hours of electricity. Enter the figure from your own records.
Emissions questions ask for a figure in tonnes of CO2 equivalent. Only answer these if you have already calculated your emissions.
Yes or no questions open follow-up questions depending on your answer.
If a question asks for several numbers, they multiply together. Ten trips of fifty kilometres is entered as ten and fifty, not five hundred.
If you do not have the exact figure
An estimate with a note explaining it is more useful than a blank.
Use the description field to say how you arrived at it. Your customer's auditor may ask.
Attaching evidence
Select Attach documents on any answer to add an invoice, a meter reading or a calculation.
This is optional, and it helps. An answer with a document behind it needs less follow-up.
Many rows of data
If you have a lot of entries, such as every shipment over a year, use Bulk upload answers on that question. Download the template, fill it in, and upload it. The limit is 2000 rows.
Submit
Select Submit Survey and confirm.
Download a copy of your answers from the confirmation screen. You will not receive one by email, and you cannot reopen the survey yourself.
If you need to change something after submitting, contact your customer. They can reopen it.
If you are asked again next year
Most customers survey annually. Keeping a note of where you found each figure makes the second year much faster.
