Supplier Hub lists every supplier Avarni has identified in your data.
Where suppliers come from
Suppliers are created automatically from the data you import. A supplier name on an invoice or a general ledger line becomes a supplier record.
You cannot add a supplier by hand. If a supplier is missing, it is because no imported data carries their name.
Add contacts
A supplier needs a contact before you can send them a survey.
Go to Supplier Hub and open the supplier.
Select Add contact.
Enter the email address. Use ADD ROW for more than one.
Select ADD CONTACT(S) TO SUPPLIER.
Every contact on a supplier receives any survey you send them.
What the supplier page shows
The contacts you have added, the surveys you have sent them, and a graph of their own emissions if they have an Avarni organisation.
That graph shows emissions from their organisation. It does not show the emissions you have attributed to them from your data.
Cohorts
A cohort is a named group of suppliers. Use one to send a survey to a set of suppliers without picking them out each time, or to look at a group's performance together.
Go to Supplier Engagement › Cohorts.
Select Create New Cohort and name it.
Open it and select Add Supplier.
Useful groupings are by what they supply, by how much you spend with them, or by how far along they are.
Duplicate suppliers
The same company can appear more than once if your data spells the name differently.
There is no merge function. Where duplicates matter, correct the supplier name on the underlying rows using Bulk Edit in the Emissions Hub, and ask your finance team to standardise the name at source.
SBTi targets
The SBTi Targets screen matches your suppliers against companies with published science-based targets, so you can see which of your suppliers have committed.
The matching is by company name, so check it. Where a match is wrong or missing you can set it yourself.
The target data is loaded by Avarni rather than fetched live, so a very recent commitment may not appear yet.
